About the Show

Corral de la Moreria is located in the center of Madrid, very close to the Royal Palace. The tablao was founded by Manuel del Rey in 1956, making it one of the oldest, continuously run flamenco establishments in the country. The ambience is historic, and the decoration features items and architectural details from the 18th and 19th centuries, creating a traditional atmosphere typical of the oldest tablaos. It is the stage where the most important artists have performed in the history of flamenco, and therefore the most important stage in history of flamenco (Paco de Lucia premiered "Entre Dos Aguas", Camarón went on stage when he was 13 years old, Pastora Imperio, Antonio Gades, El Cigala, Mario Maya, Blanca del Rey and a very long list of additional performers).

In addition to being a flamenco tablao, Corral de la Morería is a show production center, a choreographic production center and a music production center. Its owner and artistic director Blanca del Rey has toured the most important theaters in the world with her company and received in recent years, among many others, the following awards:

Very disappointing and very expensive. We opted for the dinner and show based on the reputation of the chef and the venue. What a mistake. 250€ later.., the flamenco was overly amplified and although technically OK, it lacked energy and sincerity. Sightlines form the tables were poor for some diners. The food was beyond disappointing. The main course of chicken “stewed in a traditional way” was so tough and tasteless we both left it on the plate after a few mouthfuls (not at all picked up by the waiter). Wine was overpriced with no moderate options. My partner was violently ill after consuming very little but the soup appetizer course. After viewing many flamenco performances in Granada and Seville we were looking forward to comparing Madrid based flamenco. Not a good start.
My family was here for dinner and a flamenco show. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to the end. We all loved the food. The potato soup was one of the most delicious soups that I have ever had. One of the fish dishes was extra good, too. The banana ice cream was excellent as well. The flamenco show was terrific. My entire family truly enjoyed the experience.
Not a hotel, event venue. A first class flamenco show and a dinner by a Michelin star chef! What a wonderful evening. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful and the wine list was very extensive. Perhaps the second time in my life I have eaten pigeon, and it was fabulous.
We bought a ticket in advance for a flamenco dance show without dinner, but we had the chance to order a glass of wine before it started. The performance lasted about an hour, and it was absolutely amazing. All the dancers were incredibly talented, and I’m so glad I attended.
Pros: Flamenco show is amazing, the food is pretty good, the waiter was quite nice Cons: very confusingly, the 20.30 show and dinner, is the same show as the 22.30 show. So we arrived at 20.15 like good northern europeans and then had to wait between 9pm and 1030 when the show started. No information online or beforehand on this. Also we paid extra for "dinner and show" and then you just pay loads for dinner when you arrive, so not sure why we prepaid more for dinner. Food is probably overpriced too Id actually give it a 2.5 if I could
I was recommended to visit this place as one of the best flamenco shows at the hotel. I purchased tickets a day in advance, excited for a combined dinner and show experience. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. We arrived 15 minutes early and noticed that at least 25% of the tables were still available. Despite this, we were given the absolute worst seats—located outside the main seating area, right next to the kitchen. I requested a change, and the waiter went to ask the manager. After waiting for 5–7 minutes, I was told that those better seats were reserved for people who had booked months in advance (6 months, to be exact). This was surprising since there was no mention of early booking privileges, priority seating, or different pricing tiers on their website. As someone who purchased a regular ticket, I expected the same treatment regardless of when ticket was purchased. When the manager eventually came over, his demeanor was incredibly aggressive and loud, making a scene as though I was a difficult customer. I had to ask him twice to lower his voice. The situation only improved when they discovered we were staying at a highly reputable hotel, at which point they suddenly decided to change our seats. The manager’s comment—“The concierge didn’t let us know you were staying there”—made it clear that the treatment here depends on your connections, not your ticket purchase. The venue itself is very casual, and such involvement shouldn’t have been necessary to ensure fair treatment. Sadly, even after the seat change, the overall experience didn’t improve much. While the show was enjoyable, the service and food were exceptionally poor. It wasn’t expensive, but even at that price, the experience wasn’t worth the trip.

Observations
