Incredible experience! A pre show drink before a one hour show. Highly recommended! The performers were outstanding. The service was great. Seats were a little narrow but everyone has a great view.

Great experience as the Original Flamenco was played, in the brick vaulted cellars without microphones and using the natural acoustic of the place! Really great artists, we enjoyed so much that we want to put here this review for others!

Probably the best and most intense flamenco show I've been to. It's held downstairs in a small and intimate space that seemed like an old wine cellar. The seating is tight but the performers are so good that they make you want to endure it to express gratitude for the joy of such an excellent performance.

Amazing show! Such an intimate venue. The acoustic was amazing. All the artists were simply fantastic! Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys performance art.

If you're looking for a raw, authentic, no-nonsense Flamenco show in Madrid, this is it. We have seen incredible Flamenco in Seville and the Sacromonte caves in Granada, this is comparable. You'll want to arrive about 15 minutes prior to your show time to enjoy your free drink at the bar upstairs. 5 minutes before the showtime you are led downstairs to the cave. There is a short presentation about the history of flamenco in Spanish and English beforehand. The performances are intimate, the sound is amazing and the musicians and dancers turn the small space into something transformative. So good, I bought another set of tickets for next week.

This place was so romantic, exclusive and boy did it deliver. The emotion displayed, the beat, three voices, we were entertained from the beginning to the end. The ambiance was so quaint. We had a great time and strongly recommend.

We got our free sangria which was absolutely delicious and went down to the theater. It was a unique space with only four rows of seats in a semi circle with the stage only a few feet away. The show was excellent. I highly recommend!

December 2024 The show is quite good. 2 Dancers take turn and show different pieces of Flamenco. The passion and energy are great. In a closed tunnel like place where tap sound is direct and no microphone needed. Drinks included are Sangria or wine . In semi circular position seating , you miss ghe facial expressions and seeing them on the vertical passage properly. We missed the red dress and male dancer though. Read less

The show here is beautiful and amazing. Very professional host and musicians. I am a cello player and I was fascinated by the cellist. My husband is a guitar player and the guitarist was really good. Outstanding show, the dancers were sooo good. I recommend the Essential Flamenco 200%. Olé!!!

I have always wanted to see a flamenco show so I booked one trough a booking platform and here we were, having the time of our lives. The show was one hour long, we got a free drink before ( beer or sangria ) but I was literaly blown away so I could barely drink all before it ended. Very beautiful show full of passion and sadness, joy, excitement and dedication ! Hats off ! Highly recommend !

For me this was a true feast for the senses! An intimate performance in a cosy underground venue, with the performers within arms length, honest and in the moment. This show has energy and variety, not a dull moment and does not come across as just a repetitive routine show. An authentic, energetic and inspiring personal performance by a team of 6 performers. As someone who appreciates music, dance and the arts I highly recommend this!

This is a must if you're in Madrid! The setting is historic and very unique while the performances were powerful and passionate. This was easily my favorite experience in Madrid, don't hesitate to purchase a ticket. Also, the artists are all local performers as well so any support goes a long way.

Super recommend!! If you have never been to a flamenco show get ready for a very emotional experience. Only a quick feedback, to please answer messages in Airbnb experience more quickly and maybe open the door because the quality of the air was a bit heavy.

I rarely give reviews, but when I tell you I had tears in my eyes during one of the performances. It’s an experience you can only have in real life. The cello brought an intense emotion that I haven’t felt since I did ballet as a kid. The dancing of course was mesmerizing and the speed was other-worldly. In awe of the performers and their authenticity of bringing true Flamenco back with its original setting in a 100 year old brick cellar. Highly, highly recommend.

A really great show for a low price considering it includes a large glass of Sangria. Also Juliette, who sold me the ticket, was fantastic at explaining the process and where to go etc.

I had the most incredible flamenco experience! 🌟 The evening kicked off with a fascinating (and not at all boring!) history lesson about the evolution of flamenco, setting the stage perfectly for what was to come. The performance itself was nothing short of electrifying. The dancers were so expressive and intense that you could feel every emotion radiating from them. And the setting—a cave, just like in the old days—made it even more magical. The musicians were a show on their own! With one playing the Peruvian box, another on the guitar, and a powerful vocalist, they brought the whole performance to life. It was an unforgettable evening, and I’ll carry this memory with me for a long time! 💃✨

I have never been to a flamenco show so I'm not sure what to expect. This is a very small venue and pretty cramped. The sound is good but it's very loud, almost to the point I wish I had ear plugs. The dancers and musicians were very good and the girl gave a nice history at the beginning. I left early as I had to use the restroom and it was more difficult than I wanted to deal with to get in and out of my seat again.

The show was great! The extra large glass of sangria was cold and good. Only reason for 4/5 stars was that the seating for the show was EXTREMELY tight.

What an incredible experience! The venue is unique and intimate. It does not require any sound amplification. You are literally a few feet from the stage. The performances were powerful. I cannot recommend this show enough.

Flamenco show was amazing. I love the intimate setting. The artists were just touching distance so you really felt immersed in the experience. The dancers are incredible but also the guitarist, singer and drum player complete the act. The lovely LARGE glass of Sangria also doesn’t hurt. Definitely a must if in Madrid.

Amazing Show. Don’t hesitate to purchase. After reading lots of reviews my family and I decided to purchase tickets here for the 9pm flamenco show. The attention from the servers were spectacular and the beverage that came with the ticket was very nice. I had the Sangria and I enjoyed it very much. You start off having your beverage in an area with tables and chairs and later go downstairs to a brick room with chairs and a stage. Honestly has to be the perfect setting for a Flamenco performance. The lighting, guitarist, singer, gentlemen that plays on the cajón, and the 2 dancers were all spectacular. The passion was truly felt throughout the whole performance as it should be. Thank you to the team for making our last night in Spain end with a bang.

This was my first time to Spain as well as my first Flamenco show. After searching through various ones, I settled on Torero Essential Flamenco and so glad I did! The venue was small and intimate and the sound perfect. I cried once the singing and guitar started it was so beautiful. The dancing was gorgeous and José and the lady dancer were magnificent! I could have watched forever and ever. My new favorite dance and look forward to seeing again one day.

Come a little early so you don’t miss enjoying your included beverage in the charming bar above, then descend the stairs to a really neat cellar. We received a great brief introduction /history of flamenco talk in Spanish and English, and then were wow-Ed by dancing, percussion, singing and guitar playing. Very expressive performance. My family, ages 16-48 all enjoyed it very much! 5 stars! We chose this show because I read there are no bad seats… to my delight, this is true, I think! (Though other reviews are also correct: the seats are narrow-er than you wish.)

Amazing experience and the artists were awesome! Great rustic setting in a brick cave which helps with acoustic and the team did a great job; from the guitar to the dancers and singer as well as the guy on the drum. Highly recommended. The sangria’s pre show were great as well.

Incredible experience! We were able to book through the Fever app same day and went to the 9PM show. The drink included with the ticket was a nice touch, and we showed up about 25 minutes early in order to enjoy. You can sit in the bar area beforehand at some tables and they also provided some mixed nuts to snack on. Everyone was super friendly. Before the actual show, you go downstairs and they give a presentation in both English and Spanish about the history of flamenco. All of the performers were incredible! No words can do them justice, it was a mesmerizing show. It does get very warm at the actual venue (it’s in the brick cellar below the bar and a fairly small/intimate space) so if you go in the winter like we did I would recommend you use layers so you don’t get too hot once the show starts in your winter gear. There are also holders on the back of the chairs so you can bring your drink downstairs with you to enjoy the show. And if you are like me and like to keep little things to scrapbook/etc. for souvenirs, even if you book online they give you a ticket at the front that you can keep :)

This show was one of the highlights of my trip! As many of the other reviews say, you get a free glass of beer, white wine or sangria which is nice. They spoke about the history of Flamenco before the show and did so in both Spanish and English, which I really appreciated. I would come back again if ever in Madrid! Was so fun.

We loved this experience! The hosts are welcoming and take good care of you before you head downstairs to the tablao (performance stage). It is intimate and nice, great performances by everyone! Definitely recommend.

The complimentary sangria was great and I was glad I could take it down to the dance. I assumed that since we were going to be in a cave it would be nice and cool but I was wrong, it was very warm. I think the dancers could use a fan even. The dance was nice but it was a bit hard to know when to clap and when to cheer Ole'! I felt the dancers might have been a bit limited by the space as well.

This is an excellent show. Very authentic and intimate in a cellar setting, with room for ~40 people, only 3 rows of seats encircle the small stage, so you are very close to the performers. I would recommend it.

So much fun. The performers were excellent and the sangria was delicious. It’s a small, intimate space, which I loved. The bad part of that was it was pretty tight, we felt squished into our chairs. But we were so close to the dancers. The male dancer seemed new, he was not as good and acted nervous. The women were amazing.

This was a decent performance. We did see another flamenco show in Madrid and we're more impressed with the other than this one though. We really enjoyed the main girl dancer with the black dress. The other performers were okay, but she was the stand out. I think the stage was a little small and limiting for their performances. Maybe there were too many people on stage? Also, the man and woman didn't dance together, which they did at the other show we went to. It was a cute and local theater, and they did give the complimentary drink, which was nice. And it was nice to hear about some of the history at the beginning.

Wow! The music and dancing at essential flamenco was thrilling. More than seeing or hearing this art, we could feel it in our bodies and souls. The dancers were an arms length away in a small brick cellar, though the cry of the singer transported us to another place and time. We were moved and made to feel alive. We loved it! (It was a very small space - and we felt a little crowded in, but so worth it!)

Friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent intimate seating. Not a bad seat in the house. Fabulous performances! No food served, which I prefer. I’d rather eat in one of the many restaurants after the show than be forced into an overpriced and likely so-so meal. High recommended!

Amazing show! Bought tickets through Fever and got 2 free drinks per ticket. You can bring your drink down to watch the show, but make sure you arrive early so you have enough time to drink and get a good seat before the show starts. Would highly recommend!

An amazing evening. The venue is very intimate, only three rows of chairs and then the stage. It was fascinating to hear the history of flamenco in Spain (a short talk before the performance). The atmosphere was incredible as were the performers. Cannot recommend this highly enough.

I was totally moved by their production on 10/05/23. I watched another flamenco the following night to make a comparison and that one also described themselves as small crowd and intimate but it was 3x bigger. It was the Essential Flamenco that provided a real initimate performance. There was a brief history prior to the show which always helps. Small crowd, the sound was pure from underground, or how they described it, vaulted brick cellar. It’s true, no loud speakers/amplification. It felt personal and exclusive. The male performers also dressed effortlessly smart. No people eating, whispering, waiters serving drinks throughout the show, which the other flamenco had. The experience was just completely different. Now i understand when they say authentic like how it was 100years ago. Just flamenco! I am back in Madrid in July with my husband and I will take him to the Essential Flamenco ONLY for a true authentic experience. Thank you so much!

A brilliant Flamenco experience in a wonderful underground cave theatre. We booked via Airbnb. When you book the experience you're greeted with a drink, then taken downstairs to your seats. You are treated to a variety of performances over a 90 minute show. Firstly the history of Flamenco is explained to you. Really interesting. Then the show begins with male and female dancers and singers, accompanied by Cajon and Spanish Guitar playing. You are allowed to take photos, and we got front row seats so I took a few on my phone that capture the emotion and movement. You get some solos from the musicians as part of the show. I'd highly recommend this show as it really conveys the emotion of the art of Flamenco.

I've never seen live Flamenco before, so this was the perfect place to have an introduction. The staff gives a brief history of Flamenco (with a map!), which goes very quickly. Then, the performance begins. It is about an hour of the actual performance. The room seats probably 40 people and there's not really a bad seat. The entertainers are all very good, from what I could tell being a novice. They all preform together and separately as well. It was so good that we will probably go here again when we're next in Madrid.

Drink included with the performance, and no attempt (or even ability) to upsell you on dinner. Plenty of great dinner options around here to try instead. My husband and I visited in February 2023. This was a great introduction to Flamenco. Upon arrival, guests are invited to enjoy an included beverage in a pretty sitting room. When they were ready to start, everyone was ushered downstairs to an intimate performance space. I don't think there are any bad seats in the house, but we sat in the front row because I'm short and I wanted to be able to watch the dancers' feet. The performance includes a short introduction to the history of Flamenco (really interesting!) that was conducted in English and Spanish. The performers were really great. There were about 7 unique acts that showcased different aspects of Flamenco. I highly recommend this experience!

While on our honeymoon, my wife did research on some top things to do in Madrid. Flamenco was near the top of every recommendation online. We booked tickets in advance. For roughly $35 USD it includes a ticket for a 1 hr show and a Sangria(or soda/water if you don’t drink). It had 3 dancers, a guitarist, and a vocalist. Roughly 6-7 acts. All amazing and even a brief Flamenco history to get you started. I’d highly recommend.

It is a beautiful thing when you discover, in Madrid, a smaller flamenco venue that is pure quality. Incredible artists performing, excellent hospitality at the bar, a truly authentic experience. I adored the performance here. Having watched flamenco all across Andalucía as well as Madrid (as an expat who lives here), this is a wonderful discovery! I’ll be back. Totally enjoyed the intimate feeling of this show. Small space downstairs where the show takes place. Fantastic performers and the bartender and host upstairs are welcoming. Appreciated that each person and musician has their moment throughout the show.

Amazing! We enjoyed everything about this Flamenco Show. After experiencing Flamenco Dancing for the first time in Valencia, 🇪🇸 Spain, we decided to try a show here in Madrid. This venue is very intimate with "No bad seats". The musicians and dancers were very talented and the show was so very entertaining. Everyone at the show was friendly and welcoming.
